Sunway Lagoon Park
On the way back we did little side trip to Malaysia. We spent 2 nights at the Sunway Lagoon Resort, a fantastic hotel about 20 minutes away from Kuala Lumpur. The hotel is right next to the Lagoon Park. This is a pretty amazing amusement park. The way it's built is really cool. It is located in a big valley behind the hotel and it is huge. It is not just one park, it has a waterpark , an amusement park, an extreme park, a surf park and more.
The whole thing is connected to a huge mall with an ice rink on the ground floor. We were very impressed and we will definitely be back !
Spring Break
For our Spring / Easter break this year we went to Phuket and KL. On Good Friday we flew to Phuket in Thailand and we checked in at the Ramada Hotel. A very nice family hotel with great facilities for the kids . They had a special kids play area with free popcorn and ice cream for all kids staying at the hotel....every day! You can imagine that Noah and Ayla enjoyed that.
The beach was great and just a 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. It was very clean, no hawkers bothering you and the ocean was just perfect for kids....nice little waves and not a strong current.

We enjoyed our stay a lot and besides beaching and sunbathing we also did some side trips...... Noah and I went on a boys trip, I took him snorkling to one of the small islands of the coasts. He just loved it checking out the fish and he was very comfortable with the goggles and snorkle. One time the two of us were floating in the water about 50 meters away from the shore without a problem. Very cool!
Of course you can't go to Thailand with kids and not do an elephant trip. So we did that too. The kids liked it, we didnt!.....too touristy!
We really like Thailand a lot. The people are very friendly, the beaches are great , it's clean and the food is to die for. We will definitely be back at some pointMonday, April 7, 2008
