JT 10 Hoi An

Every year we go on a 3 or 4 day trip with a group of friends to some attractive place in the area. The founder of this trip was our friend Jamie Wellington, who tragically died in the 2002 Bali bombing. After his death we continued the yearly trips and called them JAMIE'S TRIP. This year we went on JT 10 to Hoi An in Vietnam.
Since the first trips we have lost 2 members, Gerardo and Scott, who have both moved away from Jakarta. Despite this we will try to keep the tradition going for as long as we can in memory of Jamie.
Hoi An is a beautiful little old historical town in Vietnam. It is pretty touristy, but still a great place to relax and to hang out.

Matt was in Town

Last weekend our friend Matt flew in from Beijing for a 2 day conference in Bandung.
On Sunday night we were lucky enough to have him over at our house for a good night of beers , Fantasy Football and EPL.
It was like he had never left...........Matt and I both both fell asleep on the sofa watching the late game ! Ha...just like the old days! Great Night!

JIS Road Race

Last weekend Noah and I participated in the JIS road race.

Noah ran the 2,5 km without any stops on the way, which was pretty impressive

I think next year we will be ready for the 5km run.......

Coca Cola League

In Jakarta we have a school soccer league for kids that is sponsored by coca cola, hence the name coca cola league. The 2010 season has has just started and it is a huge event. No less than 2000 kids are involved from 52 different schools.
Noah made the JIS U8 team and his team plays in the U8B league. His team consists of 4 1st graders, 6 2nd graders and 2 3rd graders. He is one of the youngest on the team. I will be helping with 2 teams... the JIS U8 team and the JIS U19 team.
I have been very impressed with the whole set up and the way this league is organized. It is really good!
So far Noah's team seem to be very strong. They won their first 2 league matches 11-5and 8-2 and won in the first round of the cup 6-1.
