Posing

After the Theatre show Noah and Ayla played a bit at the ISCI playground.

It was like around 5PM and the light was just perfect for some great photos.

Of course Noah refused to pose for more than 2 shots.

I guess you need to be a girl to like posing....Ayla didnt mind at all and here are the results.

I love these shots!

Kinder Theater in Jakarta

This week we had a Dutch Children's Performance in Jakarta. You can imagine that the whole Dutch community of Jakarta was there to watch the show. We dont often get these oppotunities.

The Performer's name was Dolf Moed and the show was titled: "Naar Zee", which means "To the Sea".

Here is his website, if you want to know more about him.

He was very good and the kids loved him. Ayla was a bit too young for it, but Noah and his friends had a great time. ( as you can see in the pictures)

Playing Football

Last year I had small soccer goals made for the kids....and myself of course.

Occasionally we take them out on the street and practice our soccer skills ! We are at a dead end , so we never really have to worry about traffic.

Noah is starting to get into it and it's funny to see how the kids need to dress up before they play football. They must have long socks and soccer boots on. They refuse to play on sandals.

Next year, when Noah is 5 he can join a team in the Jakarta Youth League. Can't wait! Not sure if he will like it though......

Here are some photos of a session last week.

JIS Girls in Singapore

A couple of weeks ago we took 2 teams from JIS to Singapore for a soccer exchange with the International Schools from Bangkok, KL and Singapore.

I am coaching the girls this year...a new experience....with my friend Gerardo Cuneo and believe it or not....I like it a lot!
Our team is not very good. In fact, we are pretty bad, but the girls are great and very eager to learn and they work very hard to get better.
As always....we had a great time.....despite some disappointing results for the girls ( 2 losses and a draw) . The JIS boys made up for that with 3 wins.
Our Big Soccer tournement(IASAS) will be in Kuala Lumpur this year from October 25-27

Games Day @ NIS

Last week parents were invited at the NIS for a morning play day with their kids.

At the picture above you can see Ayla posing with her favorite teacher Juf Santi.

The Final Product....A true piece of art!
