JT 8 Chiang Mai

Last week we went on our annual JT, which stands for Jamie's Trip. Jamie was a good friend and colleague of ours who died in the Bali Bombing of 2002 of the Sari Club.
In 2001 Jamie organized our very first 'boys trip' to Lake Toba in Sumatra. It was supposed to be the start of a yearly tradition and a tradition it has become.......unfortunately without Jamie.

This year's trip was our 8th and the destination was Chiang Mai in Thailand.
A great trip with bit of everything: relaxing, adventurous, active, fun and of course lots of.......beers!

Diploma A

Last week Noah started his Diploma A swimming class. The classes take place at the Dutch School and are done by coach Philip. He made those little ones work hard. Our little man had to do 12 laps of breast and back stroke. It was tough for him, but he did it!

Opa and Oma in Jakarta

After an extended holiday in Australia, opa and oma arrived last Thursday in Jakarta

The kids were so excited to have them around. They stayed for a week and flew back to Holland on Wednesday. Yes, it was way too short, but hey..... better like this than nothing. We can't really complain because they have been our most regular visitors in all our years here in jakarta. In 10 years that we have been here they came over 8 times. Pretty impressive!

We had a great week and especially the kids loved it to be able to play , talk , swim and have fun with opa and oma.

On Saturday opa and I took the kids to Ocean Park, while the 2 ladies ( Sue and Oma) got pampered at the salon. I guess this was a good deal for all......

At 74 , dare devil opa, went down the high slide with Noah and........he survived!
