In Holland with Oma and Opa

After our stay in the US we flew straight from Boston to Amsterdam. My dad met us at the airport to drive us to Zutphen where my parents live. He always picks us up and drop us of wherever we go and we are very grateful for that! Where would we be without him?

The kids love staying with oma and opa. There is a football field and a pond right accross from their house. They love to play there and to feed the ducks and the geeze almost every day. They also love to ride their bikes in the neighbourhood which is safe and provides much needed bike riding practice for them.

Celebrating Birthdays

Since we always miss eachother's birthdays during the year, we decided to have a 'birthday day' to celebrated all the missed birthdays.

Of course the kids had no complaints about this, since this meant a big birthday cake, birthday snacks and......presents!!

Pedicure Vietnam Style

Sue's mum Thuy is THE pedicure expert in the US. She has worked at many salons and even had her own place for a while. Needless to say that the kids...and I...love getting pedicures as well.....

A Visit to Rhode Island

Sue's younger sister Maria lives with her boyfriend Adam in Rhode Island at about 2 hours drive from Kathy's house.
This year we also spent some time with them in their neat condo in Cranston.
Adam and Maria will be engaged this year and will be getting married next summer.

Holiday in the USA

This summer we started our holiday in the States with Sue's family in New Hampshire.

As usual we spent most of our time at Kathy's house. She has a nice spacious house with a big garden and it's also in the middle of a forest. Great for the kids to enjoy the outdoors and to breath fresh air. Things that we miss in Jakarta.
It is also nice for the kids to spend a lot of time with 'Grammy' who lives with Kathy in the same house.

Here are some photos of our time in NH.
