Sunday Night Routine

On Sunday evenings we put on our AJAX shirts and we watch the Ajax matches live on TV ( unless there is a late kick off) and we support out favorite team !!

BTW...last Sunday wasn't a great Sunday......because we didnt win......1-1

Oh well...can't win them all.

( PS: We are still working on Sue to join us.......)

JIS PEL Olympics

One of the BIG events...and one of my favorite ones...... that I help organizing are the JIS PEL Olympics.

It really is a lot of work but also a great and very rewarding event not to be missed.

The whole school comes together to celebrate the spirit the olympics .....taking part is more important than winning !

The event takes a whole week with an official opening and closing ceremony.

Last week we had our 2012 PEL Olympics

Here are some impressions..................

Super Skills Tournament

A couple of weeks ago Noah competed in the SuperSkills bi-annual 1v1 tournament.

He did really well and ended up wining the gold medal in his age group.

Another Soccer Player in the Family

This year we have 3 soccer players in our family !

Not only Ayla and Noah play, but also Laurens made the JIS Varsity Boys Soccer team !

Here are some photos of him and his team when they traveled to Singapore

A Family of 5.....

Since the start of the school year we have an extra member to our family. We have 'adopted' a teenager for 1 year. Yes.....it really is true. My brother's son Laurens will live with us for the entire school year and will be a JIS student for 1 year.
So far everything has been really good. He is a great kid and our kids love having a big brother !

On Friday it was his birthday and we all went out for a family dinner.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAURENS !!

Catching up with old Friends!

Summer holidays are great to catch up with old friends. This summer we stayed with Richard and Pauline for a week . While we were there we also met up with Guido , Rene , Frank & Olga and Ben & Trude.
It was great to see them all back !

Noah @ AJAX

At the end of our summer Noah spend a week with his Dutch friends Stijn and Joost. The 3 boys did a football camp for a week at Ajax in Amsterdam. The boys trained and played at 'De Toekomst',  this is where all the Ajax players train and prepare for matches.
Needless to say thay the boys had a great time. They even got to watch the first team train and met some of the players in person. Very Cool!
