Gray's Testimonial

Nobody likes saying goodbye to good friends and unfortunately when you work at an international school you have to say goodbye to friends (too) often. Part of ( international) life, but no fun!

This year was no different and we had to say goodbye to Scott and Dunja Chamberlain and to Mark Gray. Scott was one of the 'Boys Trip' guys and and Mark Gray was our athletic director. He has been at JIS for 18 years and we coached the soccer team together for many years. For his goodbye I organized a testimonial match for him between JIS students and JIS faculty.

These photos were taken during and after that match.

We will miss Mark, Scott and Dunja!

Ayla's Last Day @ NIS

We are in the middle of our summer break and finally I feel like updating our blog.

First I still have some Jakarta photos. I took these at Ayla's last day at the Dutch school. She has been at the school for about 2 years and she will start @ JIS next year.

Ayla Flying........

On Sunday we were invited by Scotty and Tika for a pool party with beers and tacos at their place. Parties don't come much better than that, so of coourse we were there!

Everybody had a great time and I just had to show you this photo of Ayla, with her tongue sticking out, flying high. Funny, huh?

Happy summer break everyone!

Junior Athletics

For the past 2 months Noah has been doing athletics on Friday afternoons with some of his Kindergarten friends. This is another well organized activity that elementary kids can sign up for. They all got an individual score book, in which their scores were recorded. He loved it and practiced a lot of running ,throwing and jumping. Always great to see him enjoying his sports!

Sports Day @ PIE

Last week Noah had a fun Sports Day at his school. I was luckey enough to get some time off to catch some of the action. GREAT DAY! Needles to say that he loved every second of it!
