Halloween is Coming

Just 2 more sleep nights and Halloween is upon us. Sue and the kids have already been busy carving out the pumpkin.
We will be going for Halloween to a Vietnamese family who live on a nice compound not far from us. They have invited the kids to come over for Trick or Treat night. We know them because they have a boy in Sue's class. Should be fun!

Cool Dude!

Noah is nowadays into the 'Cool Dude' thing. He wants to be cool and to look cool in front of his friends and of course also in front of his family. He loves to stand in front of the mirror, and to give himself a good look before saying out loud....'Hey Cool Dude'!

At Graham's Resort and Spa

Did I ever tell you about our friend Scotty's new house? It's actually not that new anymore since they moved in to it last May. I think it took almost 2 years to build it, but it was well worth the wait.
It's a stunning place that we call the Graham's Resort and Spa. Check it out!

Last week we spend a whole day at the Resort and of course we had a great day. We are very lucky that we have free access to this exquisite place.

Idul Fitri Break

Last week we enjoyed a nice week off to celebrate the end of the ramadan month, called Idul Fitri in Indonesia.
For the first time ever, we decided not to go anywhere and we stayed in Jakarta. We actually had a great time and hung out with friends and their kids almost every day.
During this time Jakarta is usually very quiet and there is almost no traffic. Why can't it always be like that?

Visiting Ayla at NIS

This morning the parents in Ayla's class were invited to come and have a look at the work the kids had been doing in class for their ' This is Me' unit.

The kids had made a paper at home about themselves and presented the paper to the other children and parents in class. It was really nice to be there and to see what's going on in Ayla's classroom.

A Teddy Bear Picnic @ JIS

Last week Noah's Kindergarten class at JIS had a Teddy Bear Picnic. All the kids brought their favorite teddies to school and they all had lunch together on the grass area at the school playground.
Needles to say that Noah and Nana had a great time together with the other kids and teddies.

Ayla Ballerina !

A couple of weeks ago Ayla joined a ballet class.
Our little one is a true girlie girl, so of course she loved the classes and the tutu outfit.
The first few nights after her first class she even slept in her ballet costume.
